Hi there,

I'm Nikki and I am a photographer based in Essex, England. I will get the formalities out of the way first: I have been practicing photography since 2011, and obtained a First Class Degree in Photography at Nottingham Trent University in 2020.

Photography is more than taking a picture; it is a tool that enables you to tell a story. Whenever someone asks me what kind of photographer I am, or what my specialty is, I struggle to answer, because for me it is not always about what you are photographing, but why. Technical skills are important, but this is only half of the job; being presented with an idea and figuring out how I can bring this to life is the real challenge, and what excites me most. 

Although I am well practiced in working digitally (who isn't?!), analogue photography will always hold a magic for me that is unmatched. I like to incorporate this into my work where appropriate.

The best thing about working in this way is you never stop learning; every shoot is a different challenge.
